Abstract:
An intensive observation network consisting of 60 Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) with extended temperature and precipitation monitoring was completed in Zhangjiakou in 2005, and it has been worked since then during rainy seasons. In order to use the large amount of data effectively to meet the needs of various users, the system is designed to be able to deal with data query, statistics, precipitation contour drawing, data output, working status monitoring, and emergency alarm. The realization of these functions is described in detail. The system is practical, fast, and stable, can provide highquality charts, and is applicable to basiclevel stations.
